Want to keep your existing mobile number?
You can keep your existing mobile number when you transfer to another mobile network by following the porting system. Porting makes it possible for customers to keep existing mobile numbers when moving away from an existing mobile network to another network. Industry regulators OFTEL specify that the port process follow the steps outlined below.

How do customers Port?

Customers should notify the DSP - Donor Service Provider (the network provider you wish to port away from) in writing telling them that they wish to port away.
Upon receipt of the letter the DSP will send the customer a PAC, a six-digit code by post.
Once in receipt of the PAC the customer should call the RSP - Recipient Service Provider (the people they wish to port to) and give them the PAC.
Once the RSP has the PAC they will issue a Port date. Customers with 1 to 25 mobile numbers to port can expect their port date to fall within the next 7 days. Those with 26 plus mobile numbers can expect their port date to fall with in the next 25 days.
